QC2 Is In the Air!

Quadrilateral Collateral Mark 2 is in the air!  We had a glorious crash failed takeoff when we attempted a loaded flight on the first prototype.  After rechecking our math and finding our quite significant error, we have revised our design and are re-starting flight tests.  The Mark 2 flies even smoother than the first, and that was better than last years plane.  Video will be up soon.

First Flight!

And VTDBF is airborne! The QC took her first two flights on Sunday, February 3rd around 8 AM. The first flight was flawless. The second flight suffered a hard landing (too slow on the approach, but our pilot brought her back from the brink). Here is the video:

Welcome to the Blog

Hey All-

This site will now serve as the news and information gateway for the VTDBF team. It will replace the section on the homepage that previously held news ( and was getting ridiculously long). Right now, I am the only one who can post to the blog and I’m going to keep it that way for quality control purposes. However, all can add comments. Once I figure this interface out I will start to add restrictions and we can let all team members and sponsor view private, up to date posts throughout the season.

See you back in a few weeks. We have a ton of work left to go.
